Conversation with Senator Gary Peters Staff
- Zoom meeting with SWIM and Kevin Hrit of Peters’ staff
- Strong encouragement from over 250 attendees on the line for Sen Peters to stay firm in opposition to Trump nominations and other concerns
- Kevin encouraged us to share information on the Democratic whistleblower site the Senators have set up: https://www.democrats.senate.gov/whistleblowers
- Kevin reminded us to consider reaching out to staff to make appointments so that staffers can give us appropriate attention at our visits, we reminded him that we were showing up because they were scheduling 2 weeks out and that was not acceptable
- Kevin reminded us that Slotkin is a junior senator and still setting up several of her offices, so please give her grace if trying to reach out at particular offices,
- Madonna has a list of Peters’ contacts, so reach out to us at BAFI if you need that information.
Truth Brigade 2025 Kickoff
- Madonna is hoping to form a group of 5-6 others that are willing to regularly create posts, following the Truth Brigade’s various informational campaigns and using their Truth Sandwich techniques.
